The Jackson Aggies stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 72-52 margin over Citronelle. Jackson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Jackson to victory were Tyra Caves and Jazmine Jones. Caves scored 11 points along with six assists and three steals, while Jones scored 12 points along with four steals. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for 17 straight games. Erica Walton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Jackson's victory was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.53 points. As for Citronelle, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will take on Escambia County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Citronelle won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Bryant presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Citronelle in Alabama (Bryant is ranked 142nd, while Citronelle is ranked 410th).
