The Cesar Chavez Champions put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North 77-35 at home. The result was nothing new for Cesar Chavez, who have now won three matches by 32 points or more so far this season.
Sophia Doromal was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Victoria Ballard, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Cesar Chavez has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.33 points. As for North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Cesar Chavez will head out on the road to face off against Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Maryvale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday. As for North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinnacle at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pinnacle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North in Arizona (Pinnacle is ranked 30th, while North is ranked 93rd).
