Silver Creek and Longmont are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Silver Creek Raptors will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Longmont Trojans at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Silver Creek is ranked 126th, while Longmont is ranked 113th).
Silver Creek's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Greeley Central by a score of 46-43.
In what's become a running theme this season, Longmont gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Greeley West 60-23 at home. The win was just what Longmont needed coming off of a 57-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Savannah Pohl continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Maya Pears, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Silver Creek dropped their record down to 8-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Longmont, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10.
