After eight games on the road, Central is heading back home. They will take on the Baker Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Central is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Baker in Louisiana (Central is ranked 61st, while Baker is ranked 360th).
Last Friday, Central was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Martinville, taking the game 52-43.
Meanwhile, Baker's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They lost to Istrouma on the road by a decisive 57-41 margin.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Baker, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
