Hampton put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Heritage Hurricanes as they made off with a 10-3 victory. Considering the Crabbers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden Valentine made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Zack Reynolds looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
