Triad's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East St. Louis Flyers a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Syd Horn was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Lil Lintz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Triad always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Triad's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for East St. Louis, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Looking ahead, Triad will look to defend their home field on Friday against Alton at 4:00 p.m. As for East St. Louis, they will head out on the road to take on Centralia at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
