St. Bernard took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 27-16 victory over the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets.
Despite the loss, Palo Verde Valley still got an impressive performance from Kenneth Salazar, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Salazar's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Palo Verde Valley also got a significant boost from Christian Richards, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
