Middletown extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut II West this week by beating Hall, 48-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Blue Dragons.
Middletown was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Warriors. Sal Morello's team came in at 16 in the state poll after placing at number 40 last week.
Windsor's ROBERT QUINN FLEETING and RASHAD RAMSEY have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. FLEETING has thrown for 865 yards this season, while RAMSEY, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 12 catches for 300 yards. Ivan Guadalupe from Farmington leads the league in rushing with 434 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Blue Dragons and the Warriors. Middletown enters the contest ranked 16th in the state, while Windsor ranks 13th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Blue Dragons take on Robert Fleeting's team. Middletown has allowed 27 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 14. The Blue Dragons allowed 20 points last week as they beat Hall.
