Oak Lawn has gone a perfect 10-0 against Blue Island Eisenhower recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Spartans will square off against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Oak Lawn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Oak Lawn made easy work of Thornton Fractional North and carried off a 16-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Meteors: they've now won eight in a row.
Oak Lawn got a massive performance out of Teagan Kryzstof, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Kryzstof has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Anderson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oak Lawn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Blue Island Eisenhower was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 16-1 to Lemont. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Lemont HS: they've now lost eight in a row.
Blue Island Eisenhower saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayllin McHenry, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Oak Lawn's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.
Blue Island Eisenhower's pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Oak Lawn hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. It's a different story for Blue Island Eisenhower, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Oak Lawn in the park?
Everything went Oak Lawn's way against Blue Island Eisenhower in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Oak Lawn made off with a 17-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
