The Waukegan Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Zion-Benton with a sharp 42-19 win. The victory was just what Waukegan needed coming off of a 73-20 loss in their prior matchup.
Waukegan found their leader in underclassman Aaliaya Cade, who scored 22 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Cade has scored at least a third of Waukegan's points.
Waukegan's win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Zion-Benton, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Round Lake the next time they take the court. Zion-Benton will head out to face Round Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Waukegan will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
