The Ellison Lions typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over the Lions.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech can attribute much of their success to Jaylen Ridle, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ridle has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Patton, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Ellison, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.
Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will take on Oregon-Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ellison, they will head out on the road to challenge Ida Crown Jewish Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
