Abington Friends will take on the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Abington Friends knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Archbishop Ryan likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Abington Friends earned a 15-12 win over Perkiomen School.
Lorelai Stirling made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and ten unearned) runs off seven hits. Stirling was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Serafina Kubersky was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maddie Montroy, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Abington Friends kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan fell victim to Cardinal O'Hara and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Lions. Raiders and Ragdolls fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lions since on Wednesday.
Abington Friends' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Ryan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Abington Friends' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. Abington Friends has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Archbishop Ryan, though, as they've been averaging only 0.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Abington Friends continue to outrun the ball?
