The Indianapolis Washington Continentals never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the KIPP Legacy Lions on Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 65-10 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-5.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michelle Martin, who scored 12 points along with nine steals. Another player making a difference was Ta'Laya Peterson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Indianapolis Washington's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for KIPP Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Indianapolis Washington will head out on the road to square off against Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. KIPP Legacy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
