Horseshoe Bend's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over Salmon River. The win was just what Horseshoe Bend needed coming off of a 71-42 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horseshoe Bend to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaelun Jones, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Layth Bromgard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cascade can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest last Saturday. Everything went their way against Council as Cascade made off with a 60-35 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cascade.
Horseshoe Bend's record is now 8-6. Cascade's record now sits at 10-4.
Horseshoe Bend might still be hurting after the 65-39 loss they got from Cascade in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Horseshoe Bend avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
