Last Friday, things could have been worse for New Life Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 75-57 loss to the Holy Rams. New Life Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Holy Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their defeat, New Life Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaleb James, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquez Rochelle, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, South Wake put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They breezed by Southeastern HomeSchool on the road to the tune of 75-44. With South Wake ahead 53-24 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Jacob Webb continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Avery Lubenco was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
New Life Christian Academy dropped their record down to 15-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for South Wake, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.
