EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - After swapping the lead two times,
El Segundo (Calif.) took the lead for the win when
Dathan Baliey ran for a touchdown in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Torrance (Calif.) 31-24.
The two teams were tied at 21 heading into halftime. The Eagles took the lead for good on a Baliey touchdown run in the third quarter.
El Segundo led by as many as 10 points before the Tartars cut into the final margin.
The loss comes after Torrance defeated South 35-14 last week.
In a Pioneer game next week El Segundo (4-3) takes on North, and Torrance (2-5) will go up against Centennial also in a Pioneer game.
