The Commerce Tigers posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Welch with a sharp 54-31 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Commerce has posted against Welch since January 9, 2018.
Despite the loss, Welch still got an impressive performance from Mason Clinton, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Commerce has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Welch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Commerce's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Galena at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Galena presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Commerce in their respective states (Galena is ranked 158th in Kansas, while Commerce is ranked 426th in Oklahoma). Welch on the road again on Saturday and play against Oaks-Mission at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th.
