The Gage Park Fighting Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Victoria Soto Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gage Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Gage Park scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Tilden. The victory was just what Gage Park needed coming off of a 79-46 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Victoria Soto, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were outmatched by Kelly on the road and fell 68-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Victoria Soto has suffered since November 21, 2023.
Gage Park's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6. As for Victoria Soto, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Gage Park against Victoria Soto in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 as the squad secured a 41-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gage Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
