Basketball Recap: Taylen Esalio and Aunika Becenti Secure Win for Rehoboth Christian

Rehoboth Christian's and Tse' Yi' Gai's match on Thursday was close at halftime, but Rehoboth Christian turned on the heat in the second half with 28 points. The Rehoboth Christian Lynx blew past the Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors 54-33. The win was familiar territory for the Lynx who have now won three contests in a row.

Leading Rehoboth Christian to victory were Aunika Becenti and Taylen Esalio. Becenti posted 16 points, while Esalio scored 15 points. The dominant performance gave Becenti a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shanoah Eddie, who earned seven points.

Despite the loss, Tse' Yi' Gai still got an impressive performance from Tavon Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds.

Rehoboth Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Rehoboth Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-27 loss against Pine Hill on the 17th. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-41 defeat against Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy on the 17th.
