After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manual Arts, the Diego Rivera Huskies were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 win over Dr. Maya Angelou Community. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Diego Rivera also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Diego Rivera got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Curtis Washington out in front who scored 14 points. Cristopher Zamora was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Diego Rivera pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.
Diego Rivera will take on the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Triumph Charter will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Dr. Maya Angelou Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
