The St. Paul Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Burncoat Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Burncoat took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Paul, who comes in off a win.
Even though Assabet Valley RVT scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, St. Paul still came out on top. St. Paul strolled past Assabet Valley RVT with points to spare, taking the game 72-56.
Meanwhile, Burncoat pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fitchburg. Burncoat has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Burncoat saw an underclassman step up: Jaiden Johnston scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyton Marshall, who scored ten points.
The win got St. Paul back to even at 7-7. As for Burncoat, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
St. Paul came up short against Burncoat in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-57. Can St. Paul avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
