Lincoln Prep came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-2 to Bisbee. The Lightning's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Horizon Honors came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Heroes as they made off with a 15-9 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Logan Walker made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Horizon Honors let Lucas Holweger and Chase Wilson run wild. Holweger went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Wilson scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most RBI Holweger has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Max Miller, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.
Horizon Honors always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .522 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Horizon Honors' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448.
