Blanchet Catholic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,101 from 9,296. The improvement came about via a 42-28 victory over DeSales last week.
Salem Academy's Carlin Ables and Luke Westby have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3A PacWest in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Ables has thrown for 126 yards this season, while Westby has 2 catches for 42 yards. Scio's Anthony Johnson leads the league in rushing yards with 218.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Creswell takes on the Cavaliers. The Bulldogs are currently in third, while Blanchet Catholic is in fourth.
The Crusaders led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Coquille.
