Baseball Recap: Frederick Starts Season with Victory Against Tipton

Frederick took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Tipton Tigers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bombers as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Grady Hillburn and Carter Russell made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Hillburn tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Russell pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Hillburn scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Russell scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
