Northwood Temple Academy is 1-9 against Fayetteville Christian since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Northwood Temple Academy will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Village Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over the Knights. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bailey DeCarmine was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. DeCarmine was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Carly Bailey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Wood was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Northwood Temple Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .680. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Village Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .308.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville Christian can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past Village Christian Academy 18-3. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Like Northwood Temple Academy, Fayetteville Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Jordan Winans. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits. That earned run marked the first that Winans tossed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bailey Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Ysasaga, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Northwood Temple Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Fayetteville Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
Both Northwood Temple Academy and Fayetteville Christian just can't seem to miss. The Eagles have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. However, it's not like Fayetteville Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northwood Temple Academy took their victory against Fayetteville Christian when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 25-10 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
