Herndon put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat the Wakefield School Fighting Owls by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-1. Considering the Hornets have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Herndon's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.6 runs this season. As for Wakefield School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Herndon will venture away from home to challenge Washington-Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Herndon 3.4, Washington-Liberty 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
