Hamilton has gone a perfect 6-0 against Liberty recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Huskies will welcome the Lions at 3:45 p.m. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Hamilton came out on top against Casteel on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Huskies walked away with a 7-3 win over the Colts.
Madison Moyar and Izzy Estevez dominated on the mound. Moyar tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits, while Estevez pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Estevez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hamilton let Taylor Hampton and Alicia Benites run wild. Hampton got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, while Benites went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Benites has posted since back in March. Cailin Adams was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Hamilton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Liberty came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Pinnacle 4-3.
Mckinley Duce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Voilet Mitchell was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Hamilton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Hamilton's way against Liberty when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Hamilton made off with a 12-3 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
