She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Kita, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eva Govert, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Crown Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valparaiso only posted an OBP of .192.
Crown Point's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Merrillville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
