Arlington moved up to 177 from 215 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inland Valley.
Valley View was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. The Eagles vanquished the Eagles 17-10 earlier in the week.
Poly's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tarique Lusk threw for 77 and one touchdown and Matt Ybarra had 71 yards receiving. On the ground Devontre Hale chipped in 193 yards. Ben Tualega helped Poly's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
JW North's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joseph Garcia has thrown for 862 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Marcus Baugh has 23 catches for 365 yards. Denzel Foster leads the league in rushing with 1096 yards.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when JW North and Rancho Verde meet this week. The Huskies features well-regarded senior Baugh while the Mustangs has Demorea Stringfellow, a sought after senior.
A big matchup in Inland Valley this week will be when JW North takes on Rancho Verde. Mark Paredes' team is currently in third, while Pete Duffy's team is in second.
The Mustangs took down Canyon Springs 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
