It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lakeview had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-53 victory over the Rocky Grove Orioles. The win was nothing new for the Sailors as they're now sitting on 16 straight.
Rocky Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Baughman, who shot 78% from the field on his way to 19 points. Baughman's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Carter, who posted ten points and five boards.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Rocky Grove, they moved to 21-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
