The Hortonville Polar Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Kaukauna 75-46 on the road. That looming 75-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hortonville yet this season.
Kaukauna's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Baumgart, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Plate, who scored ten points.
Kaukauna struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for Hortonville and bumps their season record up to 4-3. As for Kaukauna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hortonville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Homestead at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Homestead is ranked 78th, while Hortonville is ranked 64th). Kaukauna will be home for the holidays to greet Oshkosh West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
