It was a good run, but the Sherman Indian Braves unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Ocean View, falling 66-33. Sherman Indian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.
Ocean View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Ackerman, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals. The matchup was Ackerman's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Blake Girotti, who scored 14 points.
Sherman Indian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ocean View, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Sherman Indian will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaffey at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean View, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
