Ayden Hague and Brittain Register made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hague pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Register pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hague has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Hague went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Register went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Register has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, New Bern Christian Academy let Peyton Mills and Aiden Britt run wild. Mills went a perfect 4-for-4 with eight stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Britt got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, Britt posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Willis, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Epiphany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Liberty Christian Academy.
Epiphany saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paxton Phelps, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Phelps' first of the season.
New Bern Christian Academy's record now sits at 6-3. As for Epiphany, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
