The Sycamore War Eagles are on the road again on Friday and play against the Liberty Creek Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Sycamore took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 51-17 victory over Stewart County.
Sycamore found their leader in underclassman Hicks Hunter, who rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hunter is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Sycamore also got a significant boost from Silvio Rizzo, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Meanwhile, Liberty Creek entered their tilt with Wayne County with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Liberty Creek claimed a resounding 48-20 victory over Wayne County on the road. Considering Liberty Creek has won six contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Their wins bumped Sycamore to 3-7 and Liberty Creek to 6-4.
