The Summit Tigers will square off against the Middle Park Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
15 must be Summit's lucky number: they beat Rifle with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over the Bears. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jonathan Gambino made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was even better at the plate, firing off three home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Summit is undefeated when Gambino posts two or more runs, but 2-5-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Jayce Rainey and JP Vietti did most of the damage at the plate: Rainey went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one triple, while Vietti went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Vietti has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Hogan Tobias, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Summit lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. They are undefeated (5-0) when they post two or more home runs.
Meanwhile, Middle Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 11-1 to Fort Lupton.
Middle Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Hunter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Hunter has hit this season.
Middle Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1.
Middle Park's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Summit has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Middle Park, though, as they've been averaging 14.5 hits. Given Summit's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Summit got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Middle Park by a conclusive 14-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
