Mary Persons lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nemo Jones, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jayden Odoms was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Mary Persons' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-15. As for Upson-Lee, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jackson the next time they take the court. Upson-Lee will head out to face Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Mary Persons will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
