After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monroeville, South Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Crestline Bulldogs as they made off with a 16-3 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Viola Culler made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Culler was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Zaida Myers was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
