Matthews Christian Academy is 8-2 against Shining Light Baptist Academy since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Matthews Christian Academy Colts will head out on the road to  challenge  the Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks at 5:00  p.m. Matthews Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
 Matthews Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They blew past Cornerstone Christian Academy, posting a  68-33 victory at home. Matthews Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  matches by 21  points or more this season.
 Meanwhile, Shining Light Baptist Academy ended up a good deal behind Rockwell Christian School on Tuesday and lost  56-42. It was the first time  this season that Shining Light Baptist Academy let down their fans at home.
 Despite the  defeat, Shining Light Baptist Academy saw an underclassman step up:  Dennis Mosychuk  scored 15 points.  Arthur Santos-Lima was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Matthews Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-9 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. They've been dominating during the  contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Shining Light Baptist Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
 Matthews Christian Academy took their  win against Shining Light Baptist Academy  in their previous meeting  last Tuesday by a conclusive  52-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Matthews Christian Academy since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
