Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 15-2 walloping at the hands of the Fort Meade Miners.  Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cailynn Johnson, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Marleigh Carroll was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fort Meade,  the  win  got them back to even at 5-5.
 Lakeland will head out on the road to  face off against  All Saints' Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Fort Meade, they will be playing in front of their home fans against George Jenkins at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
