The El Rancho Dons 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 62-49 to Santa Fe. The result was an unpleasant reminder to El Rancho of the 75-47 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why El Rancho lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Rivas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Rivas hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Troy Barajas, who scored 16 points.
El Rancho dropped their record down to 3-23 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Santa Fe, their win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-23.
El Rancho does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Santa Fe also has no future games currently scheduled.
