Nobody could stop Mason Porter on Tuesday as he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks. For the season, he has an ERA of 3.26 over 19.3 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Porter and Concord are taking a road trip to take on Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spiders will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 245 places lower in North Carolina), but they're not letting that get them down.
