The Miramar Patriots and the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Miramar Patriots had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Jaguars 78-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Miramar has scored all season.
Josh Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pembroke Pines Charter, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds. Maximo Ortega was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Miramar's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Miramar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pembroke Pines Charter will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in Pembroke Pines Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
