The Sparks Railroaders pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carson. Sparks was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Sparks had strong showings from Eli Flores, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals, and Adrian Banuelos Puga, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Carson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mouhamed Fall led the charge by scoring 23 points along with 4 steals. Japheth Banko was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 steals.
Sparks' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Sparks will square off against Coleville at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will head out on the road to face off against McQueen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
