The Random Lake Rams will square off against the Boyceville Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
Kiel hit Random Lake with a four-run fifth inning two weeks ago, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 7-6.
Lily Klein made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Arndt, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Boyceville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ladysmith a 10-0 shutout.
Kailei Malean made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Malean was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Harvey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Lilly Lain, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Random Lake dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.75 runs. As for Boyceville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Random Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Boyceville in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
