After flying high against Charlton County last Friday, Brooks County came back down to earth. The Brooks County Trojans fell just short of the Irwin County Indians by a score of 17-14 on Friday. Brooks County's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4. As for Irwin County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Brooks County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washington-Wilkes at 2:00 p.m. on November 16th. Irwin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
