After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gray's Creek, Union Pines was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Lee County Yellow Jackets 12-0. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Allie Bauer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other pitching news, Kaitlyn Blue looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Pines will face off against Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Pines is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Lee County, they will challenge Hoke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
