The Florida Christian Patriots were the 78-35 winner over TERRA Environmental when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Florida Christian fell 56-46 to TERRA Environmental on Tuesday.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Rodriguez, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Kohl Rosario was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
TERRA Environmental's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Merlo, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramiro Pando-Tristan, who scored 11 points.
Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for TERRA Environmental, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florida Christian will face off against Ransom Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ransom Everglades will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Florida Christian is ranked 155th). As for TERRA Environmental, they will head out on the road to face off against Gulliver Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
