Palmdale has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Lancaster Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Palmdale took a serious blow against Highland, falling 67-13. While losing is never fun, Palmdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Highland is ranked 194th).
Meanwhile, Lancaster suffered a rough 30-8 defeat at the hands of Antelope Valley on Friday. Lancaster has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Ymihr Byrd, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Palmdale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lancaster, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Palmdale couldn't quite finish off Lancaster in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 22-19. Thankfully for Palmdale, Cedric Samarion (who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
