It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sierra Grande Panthers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Stratton on Saturday, falling 45-12. Sierra Grande was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.
Stratton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cyler Notter out in front who rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Brody Webb made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stratton's defense and their ten sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ethan Bohnen and Notter who racked up 6.5 sacks between them.
Sierra Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Stratton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Sierra Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stratton will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Idalia at 1:00 p.m. Idalia has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 254 points over their last five games.
