While losing is never fun, St. Paul can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Burncoat is ranked 37th).
Burncoat's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jean Carlos Pimental, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cheyton Marshall, who scored 13 points.
St. Paul's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Burncoat, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul will square off against Algonquin Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Algonquin Regional is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Burncoat, they will head out on the road to square off against North at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
